CLICK HERE FOR NEW WEBSITE PAGES TO HELP YOU FIND SERVICES»

Having difficulty finding a service?
Want to make a comment or suggestion about a service?
Want to make a complaint?
Living in a rural community tends to mean we are all some way from being able to get to the services we need – it is not always easy.  It can be as difficult just to find out what is available and how do we get the specific support we need.  The Council has started a new part of our website, called Newick Village Parishioners' Access to Services, where you can ask a question about any support you feel could help you or perhaps any question you want to raise with the Parish Council.

A message from Paul Taylor, Fair Trading Officer
Trading Standards have been made aware of an Alarm Company contacting Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators and offering them an alarm system for £1.

The company allegedly state that the alarm system will be connected to the Fire Brigade and will have a one of maintenance charge that they will not disclose until they inspect your property.

We would ask all neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators to contact us should they have been approached in this style.

Please contact paul.taylor@eastsussex.gov.uk.

Trading Standards are warning consumers to be aware of unsolicited phone calls claiming to be able to refund your council tax.

An individual was contacted saying they were going to be awarded £7k for making her council tax payments regularly over recent years. The person on the phone asked the individual for bank details and knew their name and address.  The individual has since spoken to the council who said it's a scam.
