1. Continue as far as possible to raise funds for the Poppy Fund, now more heavily committed to the welfare of Service personnel returning injured from Afghanistan
2. To maintain contact with housebound members and widows in Newick. Many are visited regularly by our Branch Chaplain and other members.
3. To appeal for new members. It is NOT now necessary to have served in the Forces to become a member, and any one who agrees with the principles and policy of the Legion (Motto “ Service before self”) will be made very welcome.

The media spotlight on
RBL is investing £20million along with other Forces charities such as Help for Heroes, in four Personnel Recovery Centres in Colchester, Tidworth,, Catterick, and Edinburgh where Service personnel can be cared for by specialist teams as they recover from their injuries., and will be helped to prepare for return to Service life or to make a fresh start in civilian life.
