The Day Centre is a successful 20 year old project run by the community for the community. It is essentially a club for older people, providing them with a twice weekly opportunity to get out, socialise and be entertained. Beyond this, it provides social care, respite for carers and is part of the infrastructure to remain living in the community.

Trained staff and volunteers organise the day; members participate enthusiastically in planning a programme of events. Local Authority funding has been minimized over the years so we need to continue fund raising. We are grateful to the social spirit of our local community & organisations who have helped make this a strong stand alone centre.
